Piedmont
The Georgia Piedmont is the most populated region of Georgia and lies between the coastal plains and the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is more hilly than the coastal plain not not mountains. Most of the vegetation is forests containing of oak and hickory. There is little groundwater because of the red clay that is usually characterized with this region.
